FAMILY PLACEMENT
Amara Finds Her Forever Home
I hope you're having a wonderful week! As I mentioned before, I have the incredible privilege of volunteering with Globe, a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting wonderful, vulnerable children in Ethiopia. We are so grateful for our partnerships with both a government and a private orphanage there.
I am currently planning a heartfelt trip to Ethiopia to visit the projects our community has lovingly supported over the past four years. While there, we also hope to take a big step forward by establishing sweet family-based care or group homes for the children in the private orphanage. To bring this vision to life, we are looking for kind hearts to join us through donations and assistance.
In the government orphanage, Globe cares for 80 beautiful children between the ages of 2 and 8. Among them are 12 precious children with special needs, including 8 with critical physical disabilities. To keep them healthy and safe, we are looking to gather basic medical equipment like vitamins, thermometers, stethoscopes, pulse oximeters, and infant blood pressure cuffs. On a bright note, we recently finished remodeling one of the residential homes to give these little ones a much cozier place to live!
Over at the private orphanage, which is home to 45 children, Globe proudly provides tuition, supplies, and tutoring for 6 amazing kids we've sponsored since preschool. They just started the second grade! Our big dream right now is to help these 6 children, along with an additional 4 children, transition out of the institution and into loving family-based care or group homes.
Any financial contribution or donation would mean the world to us and make a truly significant difference.Â
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for your incredible generosity, warmth, and support.
With appreciation and warm regards,
Helen Daniels
